Peter Murray

Peter Murray is a distinguished executive with a proven track record in both startups and established businesses. Throughout his career, Peter has held significant leadership roles, often in an entrepreneurial capacity. Most recently, as CEO of DAVO Sales Tax, he oversaw the company's growth, reengineered its core SaaS offering, and ultimately negotiated its acquisition by Avalara.

Peter also served as CTO of IDBS, where he led a team of over 130 software engineering professionals to deliver globally recognized scientific data management software. His leadership in transitioning the company to agile methodologies resulted in accelerated feature delivery, higher software quality, and lower costs. As VP of Connectivity and Software at Daktari Diagnostics, Peter led the development of firmware and software for portable medical diagnostic devices, implementing a global data coverage network and developing solutions for deployment in several African countries.

As the founder and CTO of Quantrix, Peter was instrumental in growing the company from its inception to its strategic acquisition. His technical leadership and business development skills were key to the success of Quantrix Modeler, a sophisticated financial modeling application.

Peter graduated with a BSc in Symbolic Systems with a concentration in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University in 1992.  He is the proud father of three wonderful children and enjoys skiing, cruising the Maine coast, and woodworking.

Currently, as a board member at bluShift Aerospace, Peter brings his extensive experience and passion for space exploration to guide the company in advancing sustainable space travel. His diverse background, experience in scaling businesses, and commitment to innovation ensure that bluShift Aerospace is led by experienced professionals dedicated to pioneering new frontiers in aerospace technology.
