Past Experience:
4 years experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Pratt & Whitney, with a focus jet engine repair design, and jet engine structural analysis
Experience as a Mechanical Engineer at Angel Armor and fabrication of ballistic armor in accordance with NIJ and Mil Spec standards, composite layup involving carbon fiber, fiberglass, aramid kevlar, and UHMWPE materials, and statistical analysis of ballistic armor effectiveness.
Worked as Mechanical Engineer for the Colorado Space Grant Consortium, where he led the design and fabrication of all Electronic Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) for a 3U CubeSat, including the Graphic User Interface.
Volunteered as Mechanical Designer for the MAVERICKS CIVILIAN SPACE FOUNDATION, developing reference designs for both launch vehicles and satellites.

Bio:
Gerard is a Mechanical Engineer with experience in composite structures and ballistic armor design for Angel Armor LLC, jet engine repair design, and jet engine structural analysis for Pratt & Whitney. At the University of Maine, he worked on a team to complete a sounding rocket for his senior capstone project and flew the URSA 1.0 in Black Rock, Nevada with help from the Mavericks Civilian Space Foundation. Gerard will be leveraging his analytical and hands-on experience to run tests for and manufacture the Starless Rogue rocket engine.
